Safety routines
Arrival and dismissal
A guide greets each child at the door in the morning and walks each child to the right car in the afternoon. Only the adults on the family's pickup list may collect a child.
Visitors
Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a badge. Parents who help on a garden day sign in the same way.
On the land
A guide walks with every group that goes to the trail, and a first-aid kit goes along. Children stay inside the tree line and on the path.
Drills
We practice fire and severe-weather drills on a calendar the head of school keeps, and we name each drill to the children beforehand.
Allergies
Tell us about allergies at the visit; we ask privately once you enroll. Each guide keeps the plan for the children in the room.
Illness
A child who is unwell stays home until the next morning, and a guide calls a parent when a child is unwell at school.
